Created in 1990 using Studio Markers and Gouache on Marker Pad in 1990, it has been digitally scanned in high resolution to be printed onto quality thick matte paper.
 
As I was born in Liverpool, you simply can’t escape the music and influence of The Beatles. For this piece I wanted to play with compositional elements in such a way as to emphasise the Fab Four as both individuals and as a whole (a group). I used pen and ink mark-making to create lines of flow between each head to help blend each member of the group into a greater whole. I became proficient with studio markers whilst studying Graphic Design as they were one of the main media used for visualising ideas, along with printmaking and paints, before PhotoShop and digital design took over.
